Depart from your hotel at 7am and drive for 50km to Shimoni along the Mombasa Lunga Lunga highway, arriving at the sleepy fishing and trading village of Shimoni which is close to the Tanzanian Border.

You will be given a short description of the tour, before boarding an Arab motor driven boat and cruise for 40 minutes before docking at Kisite Marine Park for a day of fun in an exceptionally beautiful and unspoilt area of Kenya.

Here you can snorkel for 2-3 hours along with scuba diving and fun diving, guests often meet turtles underwater, and sometimes dolphins arrive to join divers.  You must remember to approach dolphins with care they are usually very curious of the divers.  This is the best marine park in Kenya giving you the chance to see the fantastic variety of fish and coral.  Snorkelling is off the fringing reef of a large rocky islet and a beautiful sand bar which appears out of the Blue Ocean at low tide.

July through to November is a very exciting time as this is the time the humpback whales travel along the Kenyan coast, and over the last 2 years a mother and baby have stayed for weeks in the area.

You will return to Wasini Island for lunch in the restaurant on the island (menu is normally sea food).  You will then visit the village and coral garden, the school and the mangrove forest and the graves of the first Arab settlers and the curio shops.  A short cruise of around 10 minutes will take you to the mainland Shimoni where you will visit the cave remembered during the infamous slave trade.

After a wonderful day you will board the bus and drive back to your hotel arriving around 5pm.
