Day 1. Leave your beach hotel after breakfast and drive to Shimba the only remaining tropical forest rich in game and plenty of bird species, butterflies, tree species of great value and with help of our guides you will learn a great deal. A guided walk to Shedrick Falls is a special occasion for adventurers as you can shower from the falling water. The park has sable antelopes found only here. Your lunch will be at the only Tree hotel in the coastal region. Shimba Lodge provides you with a romantic experience in the forest and opportunities to dine next to elephants.  Rest with an excellent view of the forest and waterhole frequently visited by Elephants and resident for Fish Eagles.

Afternoon game drives in the National Reserve with a sundowner walk crowning it all. Dinner and overnight in the Shimba lodge.

Day 2. After breakfast drive through Duruma land endowed with Savannah vegetation to Tsavo East National Park. You enter the park through Bachuma gate and start game viewing taking you up to lunchtime. Check into lodge/camp lunch and relax until 4pm when you start your evening game viewing. At dusk you will return to your lodge for your dinner and overnight.

Day 3. At 06:30hrs, you will be taken on a early morning game drive to hopefully catch up with the Cats hunting i.e. Lion, Cheetah and leopard, returning in time for breakfast. After breakfast you will check out of the rooms and go for your last game drive before leaving the park.

An extra lunch will be at Voi town and drive back through Mombasa to your hotel on the coast.

Little Ellie says: at breakfast watch the fish eagles as they swoop down over the waterhole to catch bread the waiters throw for them, and the red squirrels join you in the restaurant, they are so tame, remember to take your cameras to breakfast
